Shenandoah Valley

The Shenandoah Valley, like all of nature, contains beauty on both the grand and the micro levels. There are the intricate patterns of lichen, leaves, and bark in addition to the wide swathes of mountains and blue hills. Both are equally fascinating to me.

This past year, I took a Conservation Photography class at Eastern Mennonite University. We went on field trips to document the land and wildlife, some of which was threatened by a planned pipeline. The photos on this page are my personal favorites of those that I took for the course.
