About Ruben

Ruben is currently a third year at Eastern Mennonite University with a major in Digital Media and Communication. When he was young, he used to watch tv shows on many networks such as the Disney channel and Cartoon Network. It wasn't until he watched a wacky kids show where the protagonist made a small replica of furniture and cars out of playdough. Then he moved his fingers to simulate magic and the item grew into a real lifesized sofa or table. As a kid, he thought that was crazy and inspired him to do the same by replicating the protagonist. Since then, he has had a deep passion for Art and the desire to be a part of it.

Throughout his middle and high school career, he wanted to pursue his passion in art. He would often get into trouble for drawing during class, but when he signed up for an art class, he was rejected multiple times. As time went on many of his skills were lost in art. But during that time, he learned new methods of showcasing art in photography, video, and 3D. At EMU, he was able to refresh his old skills and acquire new skills. He has recorded and edited multiple videos as well as photos and made audio sequences for video productions. He has also created logos, business cards, and icons. He also did ceramics and mimicked artists' work and put his own interpretation for projects. But, he heavily focuses more on video and photo editing to promote not just his own work, but others and businesses to reach a broader audience.
