Superheroes

photography > Series > Superheroes

This project was meant to teach us how to manipulate the shutter speed and how it effect blur and light. We were sent out to create a series that used motion blur, stop motion, and long exposure.

I chose to do mine based on one of my favorite things: superheroes! Motion blur is good at representing the speed of something. Based on the comic book characters The Flash and Quicksilver, I wanted to make a person look like they were traveling faster than you have ever seen. I used the car to show how quick the man is running. Now for my stop motion I wanted to show the technique of impressive comic fighters, like Daredevil. Last, and certainly not least, long exposure. My favorite hero, Batman. I thought of the bat symbol and how it is known to be lit up, as a spotlight, into the sky.
