My Roots

Sandra Renee Hilty

Being a photographer isn't something I planned to be; it just happened. I would take photos every now and then, but I never wanted to do something about it. It wasn't until January of 2012 that I thought about making a career out of taking pictures.

In 2012 I attended a Photography 101 class at Glendale Community College (GCC) in Glendale, Arizona. It was in that class that I became passionate about photography. Being able to develop film work in a darkroom was one the best things to ever happen to me. Even though I love working with film, digital has proven to be less expensive and more convenient.

I am currently an Undergrad student at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) and I plan on graduating in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts.
