In late August of 2014, I arrived at Eastern Mennonite University ready to start my first semester/year of college. When I first came here I was a little nervous because I was going to be on my own for a while but I was able to settle in rather quickly. It did though take me a while to get used to the schedule that I had to follow since I would have classes in the morning. I am currently in my second semester here at EMU.
Lets get into how I got involved with photography. So one of the classes that I took for my first semester was a digital photography class. I thought it would be neat because it was something that I was trying out for the first time. Our first project was to take some pictures of downtown Harrisonburg and I enjoyed that project because I got to do some exploration of the city for the first time. As time went on, the projects got tougher and it was harder for me to choose what photos to take for each project and also had trouble when it was time to edit. I had some good projects but I also had some that I could have done better in. As for my future in photography, I dont really know but may consider taking photos just for fun after college.
