Many of us would be very lost and possibly slightly more dangerous if it weren’t for road signs, a big group of clues, notes and signals that direct and inform the flow of people passing by on the perils ahead. These helpful and informative signs also make great photography subjects. This project is a series of photographs I took of signs while travelling on different trips on many occasions. It was great fun to take these photographs.

Sometimes the signs are humorous and other times they give you a better understanding of another place and culture. Many of the signs that we once knew are starting to disappear and that digitally rendered, clumsily crafted letterforms were taking their places. This is why I have created this catalog. Enjoy!
