Laken Richer
I am currently a Digital Media major at Eastern Mennonite University. Prior to my time at EMU, I graduated from Hesston College with an Associate of Arts degree with a major in graphic design. My interest in the graphic design field sparked during a two-day job shadowing experience with a designer for Goshen College. While I was there I observed the creative process of redesigning an alumni magazine. From then on I have began to develop my skills through college courses at both Hesston and EMU as well as gaining some hands-on experience through multiple internships at both institutions.

During my time as a design intern, I have been able to learn the valuable skills of working with a team of people to develop and uphold the branding standards of an organization. I have studied and worked with the the Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom throughout my time as a student and an intern. My experience as an intern has allowed me to create postcards, program covers, posters, t-shirts for athletics, and invitations. This website is a compilation of the work that I have done and as I continue my work I hope to grow as a designer.
