About Juan Becerra Martinez
As a bilingual business major, I intend to bring a different voice with me and a different perspective to the way an organization might view topics. Innovation and creativity are two qualities that I excel at and I intend to bring those two things with my leadership style to help people grow and reach their maximum potential. The end goal of my quest is to be someone that inspires and influences employees to do their best.
Currently, I am the apple expert at the local Best Buy as well as an organizational leadership major at Eastern Mennonite University. My previous experience in sales has allowed me to require personal skills that I can apply to leadership. As the apple expert, I have to stay current with new technologies, sales strategies, and marketing techniques. My two minors at EMU are marketing and Human Resources both of which require a great deal of creative thinking. Therefore, I have to study the different methods used to reach customers and employees alike.
When I am not working with technology, design, or marketing I have to use my skills as a Spanish translator to help people in the community. My minor in human resource management has helped me when I have translated for people. It is important to understand the tone in which things need to be said to be diplomatically correct, and human resource management has taught me to be professional when handling other's personal information. I have been part of many teams before and I believe diplomacy is essential when talking to people from different backgrounds.
