Cosplaying As the Past
I wrote a book of no cover to tell lies.
Lies that keep you content and freshen up your darkest tint
"Lies are truths when you tell them,"
you said. So l painted my eyes dark brown, pinned up for the lights, camera, action,
then flipped to page seven on that old magazine of commercials, mustangs, and pretty ladies of leisure
Oh... the ladies!
They all smiled sipping on their frozen hot Cola
So I put on my best dress and I smiled, cosplaying as the past.
