During my time building a portfolio, I honestly didn’t know where to start for a subject to capture. But I knew I wanted to pursue in freelance. I began capturing portraits of people in their element, and in the first few sessions, this is where I saw myself and my photography go. I have worked with twenty or more individuals and two couples. I have taken many photography classes, from the basics of photography, learning to process and post images to editing in Lightroom CC, Photoshop work, and trying different photography subjects that were totally out of my comfort zone.
Then, I began to build my photography website and an Instagram page to get my portfolio out there and hope for immediate clients. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I continued to do portrait photography for a while, but I wanted to venture out for more different subjects. Luckily, I was allowed to collaborate with a bridal and pageant company and photograph models in dresses. I have worked with two freelance models and have done 3-4 styled bridal sessions. I am currently seeking out more work on couples, engagements, and possibly lifestyle subjects to add to my portfolio.
