Christon Anthony Simmons is currently a Senior at Eastern Mennonite University, where he is studying Business Administration. During his time at EMU, he was apart of the men's basketball program, and he also works in the athletic events department, which is apart of his work study. Given his major in Business, Chris already had a goal of starting his own business when he first came into college, but had no idea what it was going to be about, nor when it was going to actually be made. Chris created the sneaker business "KicksPlugVa" during the fall of 2020, which was his sophomore year at EMU.
During his time as a intern at the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), he was able to learn the skills of what it takes to be able to conduct a successful business. Through time there, he had also sharpened his people skills, as he was in a new setting with many people he did not know, who were various ages.
