I am a third year at Eastern Mennonite University studying photography. My work has been featured on campus and on various websites. I am most interested in documentary photography and the ability to tell a story through my photography.
My career goal is to travel the world and document life in all crevices of the planet. I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Lithuania and feel compelled to continue to explore and photograph every encounter I am granted access to. Ideally, I will travel to less developed countries and gain a more rich understanding of culture and be able to raise awareness of hardships and injustices that people without advocacy face. I would like to work in humanitarian documentary photography. I am passionate about women’s rights and allocating proper resources to those who are faced with suffering in silence. A photographer can be the most important and powerful tool that any single human can possess. Without an image, generally catastrophes can continue to go unnoticed.
