Biography

I am a communications major at Eastern Mennonite University. Before attending EMU I graduated from Hesston College with an Associate of Arts degree in communications. My goal is to become a great journalist or work in public relations. At Hesston I developed my writing skills serving as the editor-in-chief of the Hesston Horizon and as the News and Feature Writing intern in Hesston College’s marketing department. At EMU I am expanding my skillsets to include photography and video production.

Working as an editor-in-chief has taught me how to organize publications and how to effectively lead a team. My experience as an intern taught me how to work alongside a diverse team and how to act professionally. Through classes at Hesston College and EMU I have learned how to use programs like Photoshop and InDesign.
