SPECKK Productions was founded on a philosophy of finding unconventional ways to tell stories and pushing the limits of visual creativity. My style was forged from a hybrid of professional technique and experimental, ethereal post production that blurs the lines between reality, existentialism, and cinematic vision.

SPECKK is a reference to a childhood name my best friend and I were dubbed, Special K, and like the imagination that rules that period of development, my mind remains firmly rooted in those endless and uncontained boundaries.

A guiding principle in my work is taking the seemingly mundane, boring or static and manipulating it through unorthodox visual perspectives– both in camera and in post-editing– and unique aesthetics centering around a variety of distortion methods, color tension and colorways, and cinematic editing and angles. I’m heavily influenced by film, and my work is always fueled by an eye for visual tension and excitement. In both my singular photographs and larger extended series I tell stories through unique angles, frenetic visual aesthetics, and movement.

My work is not intended to be a one-off experience– I like to engage the deeper corners of thought and visual interaction that require multiple viewings or that unlock a new realization each viewing. My ultimate goal is stimulation of the eyes and brain and isolation of the unique feeling of experiencing art.
