I am currently an undergraduate student at Eastern Mennonite University and working on my BA in Recreation and Sports and minoring in Business Administration and Coaching. I’m passionate about sports and want to create new opportunities for kids that can’t get the same opportunities as others. While at EMU, I’m also a pole vaulter on the track and field team and was also on the cross country and triathlon team.
I also really like art and exploring new art media. In college, I have taken ceramics, graphic design, and foundations of design. Graphic design is a great way to be able to come up with great marketing ads to promote myself. By the end of the day, I would love to be able to combine my art skills within the recreation field to really stand out within my business.
I went to East Rockingham high school and graduated with an advance diploma and graduated from Cosmetology school. The three things that probably make me stand out are sports, art, and hair design. I would love to find a way to combine all three. Growing up, I participated in a lot of different sports and was in and out of different recreation programs. I was involved in gymnastics, basketball, soccer, softball, track, and lots more, and if I wasn’t doing it one of my sisters was. So that also expanded the variety of recreational programs I was exposed to.
