About Me
I am currently in my second year at Eastern Mennonite University studying Marketing. I came into college unsure of what I wanted to pursue, but I knew I enjoyed both art and business. During my first few semesters at EMU, I took art classes like graphic design, photography, and foundations of design but also a variety of business classes. I soon realized they are very much connected and something I wanted to follow. I hope to create enticing and interesting work that draws the attention of whoever may be interacting with my work. I have an interest in and passion for branding and logos, but also love capturing the moment through photography.
I took multiple different art classes like drawing and painting throughout high school, but my love for photography and design didn't develop until my senior year during my time on the Yearbook team. There I absorbed basic design principles while learning how to handle a camera. Much of my work was taking photos of different events at school. My favorite work were the sports games, but I also photographed concerts, dramas, and day-to-day activities. I also created page layouts incorporating text and photos. My time at EMU has enhanced my skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Lightroom.
