My Education

Coming into my fourth year of college at Eastern Mennonite University, I am studying fine arts. During this time I have had many experiences with diverse types of arts including, painting, drawing, and ceramics. Within these subjects, I have an open range to what I will want to do in the future. However, my main interest is working to sell my art pieces. Throughout these past years at EMU, I have been able to grow with these creative skills. For example, I have been given the chance to work at the Campus Activities Council where I have been given the chance to work on the marketing team to design posters and expand my designs to the public. Also, within these fine art skills it has helped me grow into the artist I want to become.

Field of Art

I also was able to shadow art teachers and work alongside a company for a semester, which has helped me also to keep the passion of art alive in all different environments. Then this year I will be given the chance to also work as an Intern with the Ceramics department at EMU. During these times, the instructor has shown me to grow as a leader and learn to help the students expand their artistic skills. Art does not rely on one skill but many skills and I have been given that privilege to discover new skills every day.
