My Outdoor Memories

My paintings have the same affect as my photographs. Every journey we all go through we struggle, but the one thing that keeps me going is the beautiful things I see along the way. Whether it would be animals roaming or the company of people, these memories are meant to be kept.

Through this collection I focused more on the country lifestyle I grew up in because everywhere I go that is defined as the "country look" I think of them as my happy place. However, there are a few that are more memories that I can't go back to in reality, but I always know I can go back to this collection.

I think when artists create a specific collection, it's based off of life experiences and stories, but I believe that when you focus on something, our eyes and our brain have made a mental picture of it and within that I want to go deeper with the reasoning of why they admire this specific item. For me, this collection was going back a year and I was able to create a strong relationship with these people. My whole life was set in this surrounding, but then it all was taken away from me. The stories have deeper emotions and words are hard to describe how I truly felt and that's where photographs come in.

The journey God gives us is risky, but the stories are forever in our memories.
