Project

The images that you see above are some of my favorite meals to prepare. I want to learn how to make different dishes from different cultures. Before quarantine I would only go into the kitchen to eat food, but now I go in to help cook, and cook meals by myself. The only part that I despise is the clean up, because if I cook a big meal then the mess is going to be even bigger. I always watch my dad cook because he doesn't use recipes, he just does what feels right and I hope to get there some day.

These have been mini projects/experiments that have helped me learn what to do and what not to do. I have realized that cooking demands attention, patience, and respect. I don't look at the failed dishes as failures but benchmarks. Also, this new found hobby has really helped me with my patience. Going outside my comfort zone and cooking exotic foods is the next challenge I plan to tackle. I always try to ask my parents for help cooking because they have way more experience cooking than I do.
